Every day, thousands of women apply products lightening dangerous with abrasive substances such as the bleach, the corticoids or still the hydroquinone. The synthesis of the melanin is made from an amino acid, the tyrosine, catalysed by an enzyme, the tyrosinase. The tyrosine is transformed into DOPA, itself oxidized into dopaquinone. After several other chemical reactions (cyclisation, dehydrogenation, decarboxylation, and finally polymerization) there is creation of melanin.

A unique formula, the “Nerola® Illuminating Phytocomplex”, which combines harmless and high performance active ingredients for the skin, inhibits 80% of the tyrosinase activity (responsible of the production of melanin). The active ingredients that contributes to this inhibition are:
